* [Sodium hydroxide](/electronics/bom#chemicals_sodium-hydroxide)
* Gloves

## Removing the film

Put the sodium hydroxide in a plastic container and leave the board in it for a couple of minutes. The film will loosen up and the board can be removed from the solution and rinsed with water.
